- Trained in all aspects of goalkeeping, including catching, punching away, deflections, low and medium dives (both directions), forward dives and forward punches, tipping over the cross-bar, handling breakaways, punting and other forms of distribution, including rolling and slinging to open players.
- Excellent concentration and intensity, knowledge of the game, positioning, and reading developing plays.
- Very good acceleration and footwork to range in, out, and laterally around the penalty box.
- Knowledgeable in rules of the game, team and individual strategy. United States Soccer Federation, Grade 8 Referee 2004.
- High pain threshold.
- Very strong leadership skills on and off the field. Take-charge mentally. Loud game voice. Command of the Box.
